Note: These are notes I’m writing to myself as a reminder and lesson on how to live my best life possible - my life philosophy. Only sharing because others have asked to see.
These are lessons I’ve learned from experience, reflection, my family, other great people I’ve been lucky to be around, great books, and wisdom of the ages.
Think of this less as a full explanation and more as lessons summarizing concepts I’ve found really powerful in my life.

Confidence is the key to life

(Our childhood black lab Velvet - the happiest, most loving, cutest, most manifesting, most persuasive, and highest energy being on the planet. We were all living in her world.)
In Lubbock, growing up, standing at the kitchen island, we start eating some food. She comes over, sits up, eyes big, tail wagging, feet moving side to side with enjoyment & excitement. She’s already chewing - opening and closing her mouth, tongue sticking out as if she was eating already! So happy and grateful! She FELT and KNEW she was getting food.
So you basically felt that she was going to get food so gave it to her. You just felt like you were going to! It was going to happen! It was already happening. It was the most natural thing in the universe. You were just a part of her world.
And you WANTED to give her the food. You just felt drawn to give it to her! Because she was pure joy and happiness. Not because you felt like you had to.
When dogs beg / are sad / whine / bark you don’t want to & its annoying.
When it is joy & expectation you feel pulled towards it like you MUST & WANT to.
Velvie is the ultimate teacher.
Live in Joy, Love, Excited & Grateful Expectation!
Live with Velvie in your heart.
People cue off of your expectation. You show people how to react to you.
All beings & the universe tune into the frequencies of abundance & the frequency of lack.
Choose to be ultimately confident and happy. And you will get what you want.
Getting What You Want
The key to life is confidence. Confidence & good feeling will give you what you want.
How: BELIEVE and FEEL that you already have it
- Whatever you believe & feel excited expectation that you have, you will receive.
- Mindset
- Excited expectation
- “I am so grateful for ______!”
- “It has already happened!!”
- I know this from experience
- When I KNOW something will work out, it always does. Even if it seems impossible.
- Only time it doesn’t is when I fear & don’t think it will happen.
Why: The universe responds to YOUR ENERGY
- Confidence → puts you in good mindset → you believe its possible → PULLED to action → take massive inspired action → magnetize the world around you → get what you want → feel good.
- Feeling good is the ultimate goal in life. And you actually have it the whole time. Success!
Feeling Good Is The Ultimate Goal
Feeling good (being happy :) is your ultimate goal in life.
You go after a thing because you think it will make you feel good.
If you start by being confident and feeling good that you have the thing (even before you have it), you already have your end goal. This is the ultimate success.
Funnily if you start with the good feeling, you will actually get the thing you want (because you’re confident and go after it) AND feel good the whole time! You get to enjoy the end goal from the beginning!
Confidence Spurs Action
Confidence spurs more action. Not less.
Confidence and clearly knowing your goal drives everything else: persistence, determination, resilience, etc…
If you believe you can (& want to win), you will do what it takes to.
- “What do I need to do to win?”
- ”I’m gonna win, let’s do whatever it takes!”
- “I will put in the work!”
This is very easily testable. Just try thinking “oh I won’t be able to do it” and see how you feel. Then think “oh this is so easy I’m gonna win for sure” and see what you feel like doing. You will be pulled to massive action.
Raise Your Baseline Confidence & Happiness

Everyone has a baseline confidence & happiness.
You reset to this default emotional state.
Raise your baseline happiness & happiness.
Identity
What you think, say, and do shapes your identity.
Identity is your deep core beliefs about yourself.
Identity is the strongest force in determining your life.
Gratitude
SO SO grateful for amazing family - parents, sis, grandparents who have been so incredibly supportive since the day I was born. Have told me every day since I was a child “you can do anything.”
And also so grateful to them for teaching me to believe I can and put in the hard work.
Always Get Better
Confidence grows or declines in compounding cycles.
Important to be confident because you’re always either getting more confident or less confident.
Life is either growing or dying. There is no middle.

The results of the actions are actually less important than taking the action.
Because YOU KNOW if you are doing something good or bad.
Good actions → strengthen self-identity. Bad actions → weaken your self-identity.
You can tell from your emotions if an action is good or bad for you. How do you feel about yourself when you do the action?
You teach yourself what to think about yourself (shape your self-identity) through your thoughts and actions.
Reinforcing Internal Beliefs
Key Takeaway: You are constantly reinforcing your internal beliefs about yourself.
Good belief + high self esteem + good actions = reinforce positive belief
Always strive to raise my baseline happiness & confidence.
How To Be Confident
- Just believe in yourself
- You are great and can do anything. The only limits are in the mind.
- Rewatch videos & study biographies of the legends - this is how they all think.
- Arnold Schwarzenegger: “When I was just a kid in a tiny village in Austria, I had posters on the wall of Reg Park. I decided & knew I was going to be the greatest bodybuilder in the world & go to hollywood and make movies and millions of dollars.”
- Will Smith: “Anything you set your mind to you can do. I believe I can do absolutely anything. I’m going going to be the greatest action star ever.”
- Cristiano Ronaldo: Asked who is the greatest player of all time “me.” “ In my head I am. You have to believe you are.”
- Show yourself with action
- Positive action → tells yourself “I’m capable & getting better”
- Proving to yourself you are capable → more confident identity
- Doing hard things → shows yourself you are great
- Show yourself with your mind
- Visualize the outcome you want (10 minutes eyes closed). See it as done. Feel the good feeling of already having it.
- Write it out 3x daily (“I am so grateful I ______”)
- Vision board
Setting Yourself Up For Success
- Your environment
- Surround yourself with happy positive confident people.
- Your mind
- What you fill your mind with becomes your life.
- “Stand guard at the door of your mind.”
- Fill your mind with only positive & self improvement & happy & laughing & love = magical life!!!

- News: pure negativity about events that you have no control over & don’t affect change in (news is a business & negativity is what sells)

- Body hugely affects the mind (and the mind hugely affects the body)
- Sleep, exercise, drink lots of water, go outside, eat healthy food
Confidence In One Area Overflows Into All Others
Confidence in one area overflows into all other areas of your life.
Because you are changing the core of who you are.
Your fundamental belief of yourself, your unlimited capabilities, and the world.
Remember when I did 75 hard
- At the start: Was feeling unhealthy, stressed, and not good
- At the end: I felt AMAZING!!!
- Physical is a part of but main thing was I reminded myself I was capable of doing something very hard and being extremely disciplined!
Do hard things. Build your confidence.
Upgrade Your Software
Reminder: the human mind evolved to keep you alive.
Not to make you happy & give you what you want in life.
It kept you alive by being hyper aware of every problem (ex: lion) that could hurt you!
Human mind (mental capacity) & technology evolved faster (WOW AMAZING!!!) than biology - today we live in a world where you are safe & your mind is still looking for lions.
There are no lions so it puts that same level of once in 10 years seeing a lion stress into the emails you get every 7 seconds. Reprogramming this will make you physically and mentally happy.
Upgrade the software (thoughts, beliefs, identity) of your mind to live the happy, fulfilled life you want.
Your beliefs are just thoughts you have chosen to think.
You can change this at any time.
The Master Formula
Turn fear into belief in yourself & confidence
Turning fear → confidence is the key to improvement across all areas of your life.
Core of you. Changes your deepest internal being. Everything external will follow.
Remember
- Ultimate confidence is the key to life.
- Start with the good feeling of already having your outcome and hold that the whole time. You will have the good feeling AND the outcome. Good thoughts only.
- What you expect, you get.
- You are as successful as you make up your mind to be.
